From 23 to 25 February 2026, a delegation of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Bulgaria), together with representatives of Bulgarian institutions and companies, participated in Enforce Tac 2026 in Nuremberg — Germany’s leading trade fair for internal and external security. DGKV was one of the key legal partners of AHK Bulgaria at the event and was represented by our partner Anton Krustev, who is Head of the Defense and Dual-use practice at the law firm. Anton highlighted the event as an engaging and impactful platform for shaping the future of the CEE region.
Held under the patronage of Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz, this year’s edition highlighted the growing importance of “Integrated Security” and European cooperation in response to hybrid threats, cyber risks, and geopolitical challenges.
With approximately 20,000 professional visitors and over 1,000 exhibitors from more than 50 countries, Enforce Tac 2026 showcased cutting-edge solutions for security authorities and armed forces. Key focus areas included drones and counter-drone technologies, unmanned systems, thermal imaging, optics and optronics, mobility solutions, and tactical equipment.
High-Level Program and Strategic Meetings
The GBITC delegation followed a comprehensive professional program, including expert-guided thematic tours in:
- Electronics & Sensors
- Mobility & Vehicles
- Effect Systems
- Unmanned Systems, including a visit to a leading German provider of tactical unmanned technologies
The delegation also held institutional meetings with representatives of Invest in Bavaria and the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. Discussions focused on Bavaria’s innovation ecosystem and explored new opportunities for bilateral cooperation with Bulgarian companies.
In addition, participation in the official international networking event enabled valuable exchanges with partners from across Europe, fostering new connections and future project opportunities.
Strengthening Bulgarian-German Cooperation
The visit to Enforce Tac 2026 marked an important step in strengthening German-Bulgarian collaboration in the security and defense sector. The exhibition provided not only insight into the latest technological developments, but also a strategic platform for expanding economic ties and enhancing Bulgaria’s position within the European security and innovation landscape.
As security challenges in Europe continue to evolve, bilateral cooperation and technological partnership remain key — and Enforce Tac offers an ideal framework for advancing these shared objectives.
