Following his re-election to the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria earlier this month, DGKV is pleased to announce that Partner Omourtag Petkov has been elected Treasurer of AmCham Bulgaria as part of the Chamber’s newly appointed leadership team for the 2026–2028 term.

The appointment was confirmed by the newly elected Board of Directors at its first meeting held on 17 June 2026. In his capacity as Treasurer, Omourtag will serve on AmCham Bulgaria’s Executive Committee and contribute to the strategic governance of one of the country’s leading business organizations.

Omourtag is also the founder of AmCham Bulgaria’s Rule of Law and Legislative Reform Committee and continues to serve as its Co-Chair. Through this role, he has been actively engaged in initiatives aimed at strengthening the rule of law, promoting legislative reform, and fostering a transparent and predictable business environment in Bulgaria.

The election reflects the confidence of AmCham Bulgaria’s leadership and membership in Omourtag’s longstanding contribution to the Chamber and its mission to improve the investment climate and business environment in Bulgaria.
