We are pleased to announce that on 21 December 2023 DGKV’s Senior Associate Vladislav Antonov will take part as panelist in a conference dedicated to trends and challenges in the application of competition law in EU and Bulgaria.

The conference is organized by the Bulgarian Association on Competition Law (https://bgcomplaw.eu/) with the assistance of the International Law and International Relations department of the Faculty of Law at the Sofia University.

The event is oriented to members of the legal profession and will provide an overview of recent trends in Bulgarian and EU competition enforcement. It will also discuss the role of competition law in modern day economic relations.

Vladislav Antonov will discuss the similarities and differences between the rules on unfair competition and unfair trading practices as this concept is delineated in consumer protection legislation. He will also discuss two notable decisions of the Bulgarian competition authority from 2022 related to misleading advertisement and the effect of such advertisement on competitors.
