Simeon Simeonov

Simeon Simeonov is a Senior Associate at DGKV. His professional experience encompasses civil and commercial litigation, including representation in a number of debt recovery court proceedings and public procurement procedures, consultation on mortgage secured bank loans, real estate law, etc. Simeon has significant litigation and trial experience in a wide range of general civil and commercial litigation and arbitration matters, specifically focusing on disputes arising from corporate transactions and bankruptcy. He has represented numerous major international clients in complex cases in courts of law and has broad litigation and trial experience in a variety of civil matters and claims, including professional liability, contract litigation, etc. In addition, Simeon is experienced in all kinds of interim and auxiliary proceedings, related to the above, including, but not limited to securing of claims, imposing interim relief (conservatory) measures, proceedings of securing evidence, etc.


Involvement in recent representative projects:  

  • Assisting and representing Glorient Investment Bulgaria – one of the major Bulgarian real estate investment companies, in more than 40 real estate and commercial litigations against one of the biggest Bulgarian chains of specialized hypermarkets for white and black goods, office equipment and information technologies, brought simultaneously before Bulgarian courts of law of all instances at a total value of some EUR 20 mln. As a result of the successful legal assistance, the client has settled and closed all disputes.
  • Advising BMW Bank GmbH on specific legal questions related to a misappropriated leased property, detained by the Bulgarian Customs Authority.
  • Advising Google on various litigation matters related to a number of RTBF (“Right to be Forgotten”) deletion requests from Bulgarian citizens.
  • Advising Golden Leaf Tobacco Company Inc. in a commercial dispute with Bulgartabac Holding (the biggest Bulgarian tobacco producer) pertaining to collection of USD 1.2 million outstanding receivables under an international sale contract.
