Yavor Genchev is an Аssociate at DGKV, working primarily in the firm’s Real Estate & Construction practice. He joined DGKV as an associate in 2023. Yavor is engaged in drafting real estate contracts, handling real estate financing and mortgage transactions, and advising on real estate regulations and zoning laws. He also has expertise in commercial leasing, real estate development and property management.
Recent representative projects include:
- Advised the syndicate of lenders — EBRD, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, OTP Bank, NLB Bank, UniCredit, and Kommunalkredit, in connection with a €315 million HoldCo financing for Renalfa IPP, a leading regional renewables platform.
- Advised UniCredit Bulbank in relation to the project financing of 58MWh BESS project extension of the existing 112.5MW solar photovoltaic power plant near Ruse, Bulgaria, extended to Tsenovo Solar Plant OOD.
- Advised Contour Global Maritsa East 3 AD on issues relating to grid interconnection of a solar PV project and a BESS.
- Advising Hercesa International on its EUR 10+ million greenfield investment in Sofia for a major residential development project in Sofia.
- Advising Arco Vara on the sale of its business in Bulgaria, providing comprehensive legal support throughout the entire process.
- Advising the American University in Bulgaria in relation to the development of new student housing at the American University in Bulgaria.
- Advised SOF Connect on infrastructure projects related to the renovation of Sofia Airport.
- Аdvised NEPI Investment Management SRL on zoning and construction regulations related to the assessment of possibilities for planning and development of a large commercial centre, as well as structuring options for construction in phases.
- Advised the owner and developer of hotels Grand Hotel Bulgaria 2016 AD on the transaction for the expansion and refurbishment of a landmark hotel building in downtown of Sofia (Grand Hotel Bulgaria).
- Advised Mega Mall Sofia on acquisition in preparation of documents and lease contracts.
