Sofia Lefterova is part of DGKV’s Intellectual Property practice group. She joined DGKV in 2024 as an Associate. Her previous professional background includes working at a number of local law firms, as well as taking part in the Fulbright Internship Program, where she assisted judges in Sofia Regional Court and Sofia City Court with the preparation of various judicial acts in the field of civil and commercial law.
Throughout her studies in Sofia University, Sofia has participated in several national and international moot court competitions, including Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, where her team won the oral phase, as well as the award for Best Memorandum for Respondent in 2022. Sofia has also been a part of the Club of the Lawyer “Theodor Piperkov” – a student organisation, which aims to support the academic environment for law students by organising various lectures and seminars.
Recent representative projects include:
- Advising and representing Box Now in a commercial dispute concerning alleged damages to leased storage premises.
- Advising Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB (Sobi) on aspects of its operations in Bulgaria.
- Advising Iterative Health in launching their clinical trials - related projects in Bulgaria.
