About me

Yana Obreshkova

Yana Obreshkova is an Associate at DGKV in the Energy & Utilities, Environment and ESG practices. She joined DGKV in 2025. Yana is focused on international and EU climate change, environmental and energy law, including sustainability. Her academic and practical background are strengthened through participation in international moot court competitions, projects promoting Public International Law, and a Fulbright internship experience. She has co-authored articles on climate law and international humanitarian law issues. Yana is skilled in legal research, drafting, and analysis of case materials and regulatory documentation, as well as supporting litigation and pre-litigation strategy in energy and environmental matters.

Recent representative projects include:

  • Participation in a team advising ContourGlobal Maritsa East 3 AD in relation to issues arising out of implementation of power purchase agreement with an offtaker.
  • Participation in a team advising SOCCAR in relation to due diligence investigation concerning the acquisition of Lukoil companies in Bulgaria.
  • Participation in a team advising Vitol on various energy and other regulatory requirements and filings before Bulgarian authorities.
  • Participation in a team advising a Bulgarian company in relation to issues arising out of dealings with the district heating company in Sofia.
